The Local Authority Technology team carry out regular free training sessions to Local Authority staff who want to learn more about GIS, QGIS and open source geospatial tools and techniques.

Our services heavily use and integrate with open source technologies, so to support its use across Local Government we help councils discover these tools and how to deploy them in a cost-effective and sustainable way. This help and guidance is provided completely free for any Local Authority staff wanting to take advantage of it. Long term, these open source tools can help save the council money, and increase capabilities, so it's a worthwhile scheme.
